Spread of HIV localized in Azerbaijan

Spread of HIV localized in Azerbaijan
30.11.2022 15:26
The spread of HIV disease among people from risk groups in Azerbaijan has been localized, said Famil Mammadov, director of the Republican AIDS Center of the Ministry of Health.

According to him, this achievement was possible thanks to long-term anti-epidemic measures: "Azerbaijan is among the least infected countries with HIV. The situation in the country is under control. Epidemic outbreaks do not exist. In the last ten months, 695 people infected with HIV were detected, of which 680 were citizens of Azerbaijan. 68% of them were men, and 32% were women.”
