Lavrov due to visit Baku in April

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is due to pay a working visit to Baku in April, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman Hikmet Hajiyev told Interfax .


"The visit program includes meetings of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and other Azerbaijani officials," Hajiyev said.


The precise date of the visit will be established by diplomatic channels, he said.


"The sides will confer on prospects of Azerbaijani-Russian relations and the progress of negotiations on the peaceful resolution of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict," Hajiyev said.
