Eni expects to wean itself off Russian gas by 2025
29.07.2022 17:30
The Italian energy company Eni can completely replace the amount of Russian gas it buys by 2025, reported from the company.

"The initiatives are aimed at ensuring, by 2025, gas supplies to the Italian market in a volume equivalent to 100% of the 20 billion cubic meters annually imported from the Russian Federation," the message says.

The company specifies that it plans to provide alternative sources of gas supplies to Italy and further to Europe through strategic alliances. The company has also signed new gas supply agreements with Algeria, Egypt, and Congo and may provide additional opportunities in other countries of its global gas portfolio, including Libya, Angola, Mozambique, Indonesia, and Italy.
