Azerbaijan has been contributing to the stabilization of the global oil market through the OPEC+ alliance for nearly a decade by supporting a balance between supply and demand, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said.

Speaking at the inaugural Technical Committee meeting under the OPEC+ Charter of Cooperation in Baku, Shahbazov said Azerbaijan’s participation reflected its commitment to global energy security, market stability and international cooperation.

He said Baku had become not only a historic centre of the oil industry but also one of the leading venues for global energy dialogue, where strategic issues and the future energy agenda are discussed.

Shahbazov said energy was not only the foundation of Azerbaijan’s economic development but also a symbol of reliable partnership, mutual trust and shared responsibility.
