Cambodia offers Azerbaijani investors 12-year tax exemptions

Cambodia is offering Azerbaijani investors tax holidays of up to 12 years, 100% foreign business ownership, and unrestricted profit and capital repatriation, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet announced at the Azerbaijan-Cambodia Business Forum in Baku.

Highlighting a demographic advantage where 60% of the population is under the age of 35, Hun Manet noted that the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) operates as a streamlined one-stop shop for inbound ventures. He pointed out that Cambodia’s membership in ASEAN and RCEP, alongside bilateral free trade agreements with China, South Korea, and the UAE, provides direct access to expansive regional markets.

Calling attention to economic complementarities between Azerbaijan’s energy, petrochemical, and digital logistics sectors and Cambodia’s manufacturing and agriculture, the prime minister invited Azerbaijani business leaders to explore joint investment ventures.
