The dialogue and diplomatic normalization track between Armenia and Turkey has progressed sufficiently to enable an immediate decision regarding the reopening of the mutual border, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated on the sidelines of the COP17 summit in Yerevan.

"We could, for instance, wake up tomorrow or on Monday to see the Armenia-Turkey border reopened," the minister remarked to reporters. Highlighting that bilateral talks remain highly active and focused, Mirzoyan noted that Yerevan is fully prepared to restore border operations for passenger transit and commercial freight logistics. He reiterated that a final, formal agreement on border clearance and regularizing interstate ties can now be sealed at any juncture.
