Erdogan: New Kurdish province represents a threat for Turkey

Erdogan: New Kurdish province represents a threat for Turkey
27.10.2015 10:36
Kurds' statement about creation of a new province in Syria's north represents a threat for Turkey.

The statement came from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, TASS reports.

"The situation in (Syrian) city Tell-Abyad, where the Kurdish party of Democratic Union announced about the new formation with self-government, represents a threat for Turkey," Erdogan said.

He noted that 'everyone must be aware that Ankara will react (to this statement) in the required manner."

Last week there were reports that Syrian Kurds had announced the creation of a new 'province' in Syria's noth close to Turkish border.

By existing information, the administrative and territorial formation included Tell-Abyad controlled by the Kurdish self-defense units.
