Evil jihadis tie captives to ancient pillars in Palmyra and blow them up

The sick terror group conducted the horror executions, according to the respected British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

Rami Abdel Rahman, its head, said ISIS "tied three individuals it had arrested from Palmyra and its outskirts to the columns...and executed them by blowing up" three columns.

Local sources told the SOHR that the three men were detainees killed when the pillars were detonated in the ancient Syrian city.

The identity for the men is unknown, and the murders were reportedly done without a major crowd.

ISIS has not yet released propaganda videos surrounding the executions.

Khaled al-Homsi, a local activist from the besieged city, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site, said ISIS had not yet informed local residents who the executed individuals were or why they had been killed.

He said: "There was no one there to see (the execution).

The columns were destroyed and ISIS has prevented anyone from heading to the site."

Other methods of murder used by ISIS fighters in recent months are running over a member of the regime forces with a tank and killing people after forcing them to dig their own graves with their hands.

Video released last week showed the 2,000-year-old iconic Arch of Triumph being blown up by ISIS fighters.

One pole of the arch is still standing, but most of the structure - which stands at the top of a colonnaded street that runs through Palmyra - has been completely destroyed.

The news comes as Russia announces it has bombed a whopping 285 terrorist targets in the last three days, with both ISIS and al-Qaida offshoot Jubhat al-Nusra, rumoured to have been plotting an alliance together last week, targeted.
