Turkey files lawsuit against "Gazprom"

"Filing a claim to arbitration is one of the options."
The second largest buyer of Russian gas - Turkey - filed a lawsuit to arbitration on the revision of the contract for the supply of fuel.
News.Az reports citing interfax.ru that according to the Turkish state monopolist Botas, it is about retroactive review of the contract from 29 December 2014.
Written notice on the lawsuit was sent to "Gazprom export" on Monday.
"Filing a claim to arbitration is one of the options under the contract. This is normal. There is an opportunity for both pretrial settlement of a disputa and arbitration resolution," the official representative of "Gazprom" Sergei Kupriyanov said.
Russia and Turkey have agreed to reduce the price of Russian gas a year ago, but the agreement was linked with a permit for a building of the "Turkish stream". The signing of the intergovernmental agreement on the construction of the pipeline has been delayed in connection with the change of government in Turkey, and documents are not signed by a discount.
