The English-language book also features child soldiers, fleeing families and an Islamic State militant blending in on the streets of New York.

Billing itself as "a true to life graphic comic book" the 36-page publication is said by its publishers to be "for you, your family and your friends".

Complete with a glossary of terms, contact names and numbers, and websites, it promises to provide an insight into the sick terror group – also known as Daesh.

The anti-ISIS book features on one page the Statue of Liberty toppled, the Eiffel Tower broken, the Sydney Opera house exploded and the Great Wall of China crumbling.

It also boasts of the exploits of Rehana, a female fighter dubbed the "angel of death" alleged to have slaughtered 100 jihadis in defending Kobani, Syria.

On another page, a woman who spurns a man's advances is disfigured with acid while a second woman has her nose sliced off.

Really Big Colouring books, the company behind the book, promised to provide "black and white" answers about Islamic State.

Publisher Wayne Bell said: "When 244 innocent citizens are knocked out of the air at 31,000 feet and plunge to the earth, the public begins to demand answers.

"In this comic book you will find in pure black and white, some of those answers."

His company, based in the American city of Saint Louis, Missouri, said it hoped to educate about ISIS.

The £5 book is supposed to explain how it the group came to exist, how it recruits and what politicians are likely to do about it.

Islamic State has been known to use child soldiers, with recent footage showing a little boy in a jihadi bootcamp being forced to crawl through barbed wire under fire.
