Terrorist Tashfeen Malik may be cremated against Islamic law as no one will claim her body

Malik’s body is still being held at the county morgue along with her killer husband Syed Farooq more than a week after the pair were shot dead by cops.

Evil Farook’s body is expected to be released to his relatives soon.

But nobody has come forward to claim Malik’s remains.

Malik - who travelled to the US with her husband in 2014 after meeting him in Saudi Arabia - has no relatives in the US.

And nobody has stepped forward to organise a funeral for the twisted terrorist.

A Washington spokesman said the Saudi government won’t even take responsibility for her.

The sadistic killer is not known to have worshipped at mosques in California and was not active with other Islamic groups who could have offered a burial.

One insider in the Muslim community said: "No one wants to claim her and no one wants to do the funeral.

"They are all waiting for someone else to be the one to take care of this part of it.”

Officials will be forced to cremate Malik’s body if it remains unclaimed in a month’s time.

Cremation is preferred for unclaimed bodies because it is the cheapest form of burial;.

But the practice is forbidden under Islamic law.

Even the most vile killers have been given burials to keep with Islamic traditions.

Osama Bin laden was washed and wrapped in sheets before he was buried at sea while Colonel Gaddafi was also given a Muslim burial.

But attorney Troy Slaten said Malik will not get the same privilege.

He said: "If nobody claims a body, it is turned over to the public administrator, who will handle it civilly and not religiously.'

Another attorney, David Wohl, added: "The state is not going to care about religious tradition. She was a terrorist.”
