Another country is preparing to invade Syria

The brave pledge comes just two days after its near neighbour Saudi Arabia offered to send in its forces.

Turkey and the Ukraine are also reportedly considering weighing into the fray – which already includes the Syrian Army, Iran, Hezbollah militants from Lebanon and US and UK special forces – not to mention ISIS and a terrifying array of other Islamic extremists.

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash said: "Our position throughout has been that a real campaign against Daesh has to include a ground force."

He denied the tiny but oil rich nation – which is already involved in the air campaign against ISIS – could send "thousands" of troops.

Mr Gargash, speaking in Abu Dhabi said US leadership was needed.

Some experts fear the real aim of Sunni Arab Saudi Arabia and the UAE is to combat their old enemy – Shia Muslim Iran and its terrorist allies Hezbollah.

Syria's Shia president Bashar al-Assad is being propped up by Iran in the face of a mainly Sunni insurgency.

Security experts have warned the bloody sectarian conflict is turning into a regional power struggle – and is on the brink of spiralling into a GLOBAL war.
