ISIS has made and used mustard gas in Syria

Reports of the murderous regime using chemical agents in battle surfaced in 2014.
Now James Clapper, director of US national intelligence, revealed ISIS fighters have been using mustard gas in the Middle East.
Mustard gas causes a person’s lungs to fill up with fluid and victims eventually stop breathing, leading to death.
It comes after a weapons experts found ISIS terror troops used sulfur mustard gas in a Syrian town – where the attack resulted in the death of a baby.
It means it would be the first time an extremist group has produced a chemical agent since sarin was used by Aum Shinrikyo in the Tokyo subway terror attack in 1995.
Clapper also told the Senate Armed Services Committee that ISIS – also known as Daesh – will continue plotting against US interest overseas and homegrown attacks.
He said: "The Syrian government has used chemicals against the opposition on multiple occasions since Syria joined the Chemical Weapons Convention.
"Islamic State has also used toxic chemicals in Iraq and Syria, including the blister agent Sulfur mustard.
