First glimpse at Abramovich's £28million underground leisure complex

His luxury development will be based on the tiled vaults of New York’s City Hall subway station.
The billionaire is replacing a "miserable” pool he currently has in his Kensington home in west London.
Abramovich bought the former Russian Embassy for around £90m seven years ago.
Last year the Chelsea owner’s architects told Kensington and Chelsea Council that his current pool was not up to scratch.
They said: "Not only is the pool too small to afford comfortable swimming, but it has low head height and no daylight.”
Planners have given the go-ahead for a basement pool and sauna inspired by underground stations in New York, London and Russia.
It will be lit by skylights concealed in stone troughs in the mansion’s garden.
