Does this prove Saudi Arabia knew about 9/11 before it happened?

Does this prove Saudi Arabia knew about 9/11 before it happened?

It has long been suspected that the Islamic Kingdom may have been involved in the horrific attacks on New York and Washington.

But now it has been revealed that secret documents supposedly linking an al-Qaida bomb maker to the murderous hijackers were discovered inside an envelope from the Saudi Embassy in Washington.

Terror fanatic Ghassan al-Sharbi took flying lessons with some of the 9/11 jihadis in the summer before the horrific attacks.

And a recently-uncovered FBI document reveals he hid a cache of secret files – including his flight school certificate – before his arrest in 2002.

The unrepentant terrorist has spent the past 14 years banged up inside the Guantanamo Bay detention camp.

An FBI memo on his case reads: "After al-Sharbi was captured, the FBI discovered that he had buried a cache of documents nearby, including an envelope from the Saudi Embassy in Washington that contained al-Sharbi's flight certificate."

The exact circumstances in which al-Sharbi obtained the envelope are unclear.

However, the campaigner who uncovered the startling new evidence is pushing for the White House to declassify a secret file on foreign government ties to the attacks.

The explosive revelation looks set to cast a shadow over an already tense visit to oil-rich state by President Barack Obama.

The president was snubbed by Saudi King Salaman upon his arrival.

The two leaders are thought to have clashed over the Saudi government's human rights record.

And Obama has said that he could order the release of new evidence that may implicate Saudi officials in the attacks.
