Panic as massive ‘shark’ washes up on beach

Residents near the beach at Happisburg, on the north Norfolk coast, stared anxiously out to sea looking for telltale fins of other sharks.

It comes just days after a mysterious monster caught in a fisherman’s net dumbfounded the internet.

Surfers were shocked as an enormous Great white shark leapt out of the water.

And last week, two anglers landed a monster fish by using their dead friend as bate.

Locals took to Twitter and appealed to The Shark Trust to identify the beast.

But luckily for us Brits, the terrifying monster isn’t Jaws.

Marine life experts have calmed fears by identifying the beast as a dead porpoise.

The decomposing body of the harmless creature had either washed ashore after it died or it was hit by a passing ship.

A porpoise is a marine mammal closely related to dolphins and harmless to people.
