Massive riots in Paris as violence erupts across France

Last night, there was chaos in the capital as people took to the streets to protest a reform in French labour laws.
But the demonstrations coincided with riots just 140 miles away in Lille, where Russian hooligans have been causing carnage.
Terrifying footage from the two cities shows scenes similar to a war zone, with riot police struggling to stop people throwing bottles and chairs.
Russian hooligans – known as Ultras – also set off flares and lobbed fireworks into crowds of people.
In Paris, dozens of people, including 20 cops, were injured in the riots yesterday.
According to witnesses, protesters burned cars and vandalised shops and a children’s hospital in the city centre.
Popular attractions, such as the Eiffel Tower, were also closed as tourists’ safety could not be guaranteed.
The most recent outbreaks of rioting comes after shocking scenes in Marseille last week and over the weekend.
England supporters clashed with Russian fans ahead of and after the two countries met each other in their first round clash.
Violence is also expected in Toulouse as fans make their way there for upcoming matches.
