The political crisis in Venezuela has brought down the shares of Rosneft, which is implementing five projects for oil exploration and production in Venezuela with the national oil company Petroleos de Venezuela SA (PdVSA), Interfax reports.

According to the information, Rosneft shares fell 2.4% on the Moscow Stock Exchange - to 409.7 roubles, the minimum transaction was 406.7 roubles (minus 3.1%). Thus, the price of the company's shares fell back to levels of a month ago.

At the same time, Dmitry Marinchenko, director of the natural resources and commodity group of the Fitch international rating agency, does not rule out that Rosneft may lose the prepayment, which has not yet been returned to it, in the amount of about $3 billion, if the political and economic situation in Venezuela is unfavourable, RIA Novosti notes.

Currently, the streets of Caracas are covered by protests against President Nicolas Maduro. Earlier, the speaker of the Venezuelan Parliament, Juan Guaido, declared himself acting president of the country. The United States and several other countries declared support of Guaido.
