The situation in Kazakhstan concerns everyone, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the heads of state of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), held via videoconference.

According to the Russian president, the attack on Kazakhstan was an act of aggression, and it was necessary to react to this without delay.

"Maidan technics were used in Kazakhstan. The attack on this country was an act of aggression. It was necessary to react immediately. We observe the aggression of international terrorism in Kazakhstan. The fighters were specially trained. We have shown that we will not allow the situation in our home to change, to carry out color revolutions,” Putin said.

He noted that the peacekeeping contingent of the CSTO will be in Kazakhstan for a limited period, and after fulfilling its functions, it will be withdrawn
