Russia records over 36,000 COVID cases per day

Over the past day, medical experts recorded 36,519 new cases of coronavirus infection in Russia, reported from Russian media.

The total number of registered cases in the country has reached 17,449,438 since the pandemic onset.

To date, a total of 362,478 people died due to COVID-related health complications in Russia, including 576 deaths seen over the past day. The number of recoveries is 15,822,031.

More than 462.11 million people globally have contracted the virus since the onset of the pandemic. The deadly pathogen has claimed over 6.07 million lives, though unable to cope with 395.31 millionpatients, who managed to recover.
