Czech Republic lifts mask mandate in public transport

From April 14, the Czech authorities will cancel the obligation to wear medical masks in public transport, country's Minister of Health Vlastimil Válek told the ČTK news agency.
Reported from TASS, that the Ministry of Health plans to cancel the mask mandate in hospitals, clinics and social care institutions in late April - early May. Meanwhile, Válek strongly recommends that citizens continue to use them on a voluntary basis in the premises, while being in them with strangers.
Despite some improvement in the situation with coronavirus, the disease related to it remains a serious problem for the republic. On Saturday, the country reported 2,251 cases of COVID infection. Finance Minister Zbynek Stanjura is in self-isolation due to an illness recently suffered by, among others, Prime Minister Petr Fiala.
