Zelensky: Ukraine began to receive weapons at the end of 2021
15.04.2022 19:00
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that his government began to receive weapons from Western countries at the end of 2021, reported from the president's interview with the BBC.

When asked by a journalist whether Kyiv received weapons from the West back in December and January, Zelensky answered in the affirmative. According to him, the Ukrainian leadership was afraid of "offensive actions" from Russia.

"That's why we wanted to join NATO. That's why we stabilized the situation in Ukraine. That's why we needed the strong leadership of my team. That's why we fought with some political groups inside our country… We started this war even earlier," Zelensky said in an interview released Thursday evening.
