The risks of nuclear war are now very significant, this danger should not be underestimated, but there are many who are ready to inflate this threat artificially, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrovsaid, speaking on Channel One.

He recalled that in January, the countries of the "nuclear five" reconfirmed the thesis about the inadmissibility of nuclear war.

"This is our principled position. We proceed from it," Lavrov said.

He expressed wish that these risks are not inflated.
"The danger is serious; it is real; it cannot be underestimated," the minister said
