EC: Over past 10 weeks, EU assistance to Ukraine totaled 4B euros

The EU has provided 4 billion euros to support Ukraine over the past 10 weeks, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said on May 6, speaking at a congress dedicated to the future of a united Europe, which was organized by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper, reported from TASS.
Von der Leyen argued that a lot is at stake for Europe in Ukraine. According to her, the conflict in this country is more than a stress test for the EU economy.
Speaking about the situation in Ukraine, the head of the European Commission expressed the opinion that Ukrainians defend European values. Von der Leyen argued that the EU, through sanctions, would do everything to deprive Russia of sources of income and raise the price for it for the events in Ukraine.
