General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces: Russia trying to resume offensive on Slovyansk

In the Slovyansk direction, the Russian forces are carrying out systematic fire in order to create conditions for the resumption of the offensive on the city of Slovyansk and conduct assault operations, reported from the Facebook page of the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces. 

"In the Siversky direction, the enemy, in order to demonstrate the presence, holds up to three battalion tactical groups and units of airborne troops in the border areas of Bryansk and Kursk regions. The enemy fired mortars and artillery shells at the settlements of Seredyna-Buda, Myropillya, Sumy Oblast, and Gremyach, Chernihiv Oblast.

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy is conducting air reconnaissance in order to identify the locations of our troops. The aggressor carried out intense artillery shelling of Ukrainian positions near Kharkiv, Staryi Saltiv, Rubizhne and Chepil. In addition, the enemy fired from barrel and jet artillery at civilian infrastructure in the areas of the settlements of Ukrainka, Petrivka, Shevelivka, Bazaliyivka and Prudyanka,” reads the report.

"In the Donetsk direction, the enemy continues to focus its efforts on the Siverodonetsk and Bakhmut directions in order to reach the administrative borders of Luhansk region.

Ukrainian warriors in the direction of Myronivka - Semigirye repulsed the assault in the direction of Vuhlehirska TPP. They also stopped the offensive in the direction of Molodizhne - Katerynivka. 

In the Kramatorsk, Avdiivka, Novopavliv and Zaporizhzhia directions, the enemy is fighting to restrain the actions of units of the Defense Forces and prevent them from being transferred to threatening directions. It fired on the areas of Andriyivka, Novodonetske, Stara Ukrainka and Huliaipole. It struck an air strike near Krasnohorivka.

In the South Buh direction, the enemy is concentrating its main efforts on preventing the offensive of our troops. He did not take active actions. At the same time, he fired from artillery and rocket-propelled grenade launchers in the areas of Tavriyske, Shevchenkove, Kiselivka, and Kvitneve,” the General Staff noted.
