Canada to allocate $118M to Ukraine following G7 summit

The Canadian authorities will allocate almost $118 million to Ukraine for humanitarian and other needs, reads a statement by the press service of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, distributed following the G7 summit in Germany, reported from TASS.
Of this amount, about $58 million will go directly to the purchase of food, medical supplies and temporary shelters. This is while $11.6 million will be directed to programs for demining the territory of Ukraine.
In addition, Trudeau specified that $56.7 million, which Ottawa previously allocated to help Kyiv, will be redirected to activities to overcome the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine and its neighboring states.
