Russia restricts exports of rice, feed amino acids

The Government of the Russian Federation has decided to temporarily restrict the exports of rice, rice flour and feed amino acids from the country, reported from the Agriculture Ministry of the Russian Federation.
The ministry notes that these restrictions will be in effect from July 1 to December 31, 2022. Restrictions on the exports of rice and rice groats will not apply to the exports to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries, as well as the exports within existing international intergovernmental agreements.
Oksana Lut, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, stressed that this measure will make it possible to fully provide the domestic market with the necessary products. Thus, a ban on the export of amino acids that affect the productivity and growth of farm animals will help maintain positive dynamics in the country's animal husbandry.
