Bloomberg: Russian oil supplies to Asia fall to lowest level since March

Oil deliveries from Russia to Asia continue to fall below 2 million barrels per day, which was the lowest since March, reported from Bloomberg.

Seaborne exports for the week fell to 3.24 million barrels per day. Oil sales to Asia have already fallen below 1.75 million barrels per day, while in April and May this figure was at least 2.1 million barrels per day.

According to the agency, oil sales to Europe have also declined and are now at 1.32 million barrels per day. Before the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, this was consistently above 1.85 million barrels per day. In general, the total flows of crude oil from Russia decreased by more than 800,000 barrels per day, that is, they fell by 22%.

Bloomberg analysts have calculated that Russia's weekly oil revenue fell by $42 million and now stands at $145 million. This income level was the lowest in the last month and a half.

On August 12, Business Insider reported that a secretive merchant from China paid $376 million for tankers to carry oil from Russia. According to the publication, all vessels are over 15 years old and do not fall under the charter of most traditional oil companies; they appeared with the help of the usual financing. That is, an unknown buyer paid for everything in cash.
