On August 19, Kharkiv announced a day of mourning for those who died as a result of the mass rocket attacks on August 17 and 18, reported from News84Media.

The mayor of the city announced this on air Igor Terekhov. On this day, state flags and flags of the city of Kharkiv will be lowered on buildings and structures of local self-government bodies, enterprises, institutions and organizations.

"This was the most tragic night and morning in the city of Kharkiv in the entire war. That’s why they decided that tomorrow in Kharkiv will be a day of mourning for all the dead,” the mayor said.

He added that communal services and rescuers continue to dismantle a collapsed residential building in the Saltiv district, which was destroyed by an "Iskander” rocket on August 17.

As a result of the shelling, 10 people died and 20 were injured in various degrees.

"There are currently 20 injured people in the hospital. Some are in a more or less stable condition, doctors are fighting for the lives of some. According to various data, there are about three to five people under the rubble,” emphasized Igor Terekhov.
