Czech Republic to soon receive Leopard tanks from Germany instead of equipment sent to Ukraine

The Czech Republic and Germany have agreed on the donation of 15 Leopard 2A4 tanks by the Bundeswehr to the Czech army to replace the military equipment that Prague donated to Kyiv, reported from TASS.
The agreement on the transfer of German tanks is ready and is under consideration by the heads of the defense ministries of both countries. It is expected to be signed in the near future. The German side will ensure that the Leopard 2A4 electronic systems, primarily communications systems, meet the requirements of the Czech Armed Forces. From Germany, the first combat vehicles can arrive in the republic before the end of the year.
Meanwhile, according to local media, the Czech Republic plans to purchase 50 of the most modern Leopard 2A7+ tanks from Germany. Negotiations on this topic should begin soon.
