White House: Biden says no to appeals to designate Russia state sponsor of terror

US President Joe Biden won't designate Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism, the White House said Tuesday.
On Tuesday, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said the president's decision is final.
On July 27, the US Senate passed a resolution calling on the State Department to recognize Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism. The document calls events in Georgia, Syria, Chechnya and Ukraine the reason for the corresponding decision.
