The Turkish authorities are counting on the extension of the grain deal, which was concluded in Istanbul on July 22 and is designed for 120 days, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Vahit Kirisci said, reported from TASS.

"We very much hope that the grain agreement will be extended," he said on the air of the TRT TV channel.

According to the Turkish minister, since August 1, when the implementation of the deal was launched, 271 ships have left the ports of Ukraine.

Kirisci also said that thanks to the start of grain exports from Ukraine, wheat prices fell by 25%.
