The European Parliament has approved the request of a group of European conservatives and reformists to include in the agenda of the plenary sessions a debate on recognizing the Russian Federation as a state sponsor of terrorism, according to MEP from Poland Bogdan Rzonca, reported from Polskie Radio.

During the voting, 201 MEPs supported the inclusion of the resolution in the debate, 99 opposed, and 61 abstained.

The resolution is expected to be discussed and put to a vote in the European Parliament during the November 21-24 session.

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe became the first international organization to recognize the ruling regime in Russia as a terrorist one.
