First Deputy Head of Russia's Presidential Administration, Sergey Kiriyenko, arrived at the Zaporizhzhia nuke plant (ZNPP).

Reported from Russian media that he checked the safety of the facility and the working conditions of Rosatom employees.

On February 28, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian Armed Forces took control of the city of Enerhodar, the ZNPP and the territory adjacent to it. On the night of Sunday, September 11, ZNPP power unit No. 6 was disconnected from Ukrainian power grid. In October of this year, it was reported that ZNPP was connected to the Russian energy system to meet its own needs.

The station is operated by a subsidiary of Rosatom, Rosenergoatom. The IAEA is discussing with the Russian Federation and Ukraine the creation of a security zone around the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
