Turkish PA: War in Ukraine will intensify, world is on verge of new Cold War

Türkiye does not join sanctions against Russia, Turkish Presidential Spokesperson Ibrahim Kalin told Anadolu.

He said that Türkiye supports peace within Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity: "This war is also between Russia and the West. Therefore, there is a need for an agreement between Russia and the West. Otherwise, there will be no ceasefire. I can say that the world is on the verge of a new Cold War.”

Kalin said that the expansion of the war in Ukraine increases the possibility of a nuclear war.

"We continued our efforts. But I think the war will intensify in the coming months. Perhaps, after that, the parties can start negotiations,” Erdogan’s spokesperson said.
