Geneva to host Russia-UN consultations on grain deal
05.06.2023 17:30
The next round of consultations on the Russia-UN memorandum as part of the grain deal will take place on June 9 in Geneva, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin said, reported from Interfax.

"We agreed on the next round of consultations in an interdepartmental format in Geneva on June 9,” he told reporters in Moscow.

The deputy minister noted that Director General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Rebeca Grynspan will represent the UN side.

The Black Sea Grain Initiative, which was signed on July 22, 2022 by representatives of Türkiye, Russia, Ukraine and the UN, involves the export of Ukrainian grain, food and fertilizer from three Ukrainian ports. In mid-May this year, the deal was extended for 60 days.
