Netherlands recognizes Holodomor as genocide

The House of Representatives of the Netherlands has recognized the 1932-1933 Holodomor as genocide, Ukraine’s Foreign Affairs Minister Dmytro Kuleba said on Twitter.
It is an important step in establishing historical truth. I am grateful to the Netherlands for taking a firm stance on the need of accountability for past and present atrocities,” he tweeted.
The Holodomor or the Great Famine, was a man-made famine in Soviet Ukraine from 1932 to 1933 that killed millions of Ukrainians.
