Netherlands to send Ukraine additional military aid worth 500M euros

The Netherlands will send a new package of military aid to Ukraine worth 500 million euros, according to the newspaper Het Financieele Dagblad, reported from TASS.

"They need some support to continue the fight,” said acting Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren. "In this case, we are talking about ammunition. In this regard, we were able to offer Ukraine a new package of assistance.”

It will be sent in 2024. Of the total amount, about 260 million euros will be spent on artillery shells, another 240 million euros will be spent on the supply of tank shells.

Since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, the Netherlands, excluding this package, has allocated 2.1 billion euros in military assistance to Ukraine. The country is currently working closely with partners to train Ukrainian pilots and subsequently transfer American F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
