Ukrainian intelligence says there could have been both missiles and people on board Il-76

Ukrainian intelligence doesn’t rule out that there could have been both missiles and people on board the Il-76 military transport aircraft that crashed near Belgorod, reported from RBC Ukraine citing the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Yusov.

He noted that it is possible that Ukrainian prisoners could be used as human shields for transporting ammunition: "Previously, during exchanges, air transport was also used to transport Ukrainian prisoners, in particular, during the last big exchange.”

According to Yusov, Russia then reported the use of the aircraft and requested a silence regime. This time it made no written or oral inquiries regarding aviation.

He added that there could have been missiles for the S-300 air defense system and people on board the Il-76.
