Next week, NATO plans to release a document on expanding cooperation with Australia, Japan, New Zealand and South Korea to respond to threats such as cybersecurity and disinformation from China and Russia, Nikkei Asiasaid, reported from UNN.

NATO plans to release a document next week on expanding cooperation with Australia, Japan, New Zealand and South Korea. The document will allow the Alliance and countries to respond to threats, including cybersecurity and disinformation, particularly against the backdrop of growing security threats from China and Russia.

NATO plans to release its first joint document on enhanced cooperation with Australia, Japan, New Zealand and South Korea next week as the organization invites the heads of the four Asia-Pacific nations to a trilateral meeting

It is noted that the document clarifies the framework for cooperation between NATO and these countries, which will allow them to respond to threats, including cybersecurity and disinformation.

"NATO wants to strengthen ties with the Indo-Pacific region in response to growing security threats from China and Russia. The four non-NATO countries are already partners of the Alliance, and the document, which is expected to set out the relationship between NATO and the IP4 (the name of the alliance of these 4 countries)," the publication adds.
