Moment a man survives being run over by subway train - VIDEO

A worrying video has emerged showing the moment a man survives despite a subway train in New York speeding over him as he lays on the track. The clearly distressed man, who has not been named for legal reasons, is seen kneeling in the middle of the tracks screaming and remonstrating with himself as 175th Street station falls silent in the early hours of the morning.A man on the platform, who was reportedly the man’s friend, tries to reason with him before jumping down and asking the gathering onlookers to help him.As the group try to lift the man back onto the platform, it becomes clear that a train is fast approaching and they have no choice but to abandon their rescue effort.Despite attempts to alert the driver, the train continues its journey into the station and runs right over the top of the man.Although the video footage at that point cuts out, the man survived the ordeal and was taken to a local hospital as ‘an emotionally disturbed person’ the Gothamist reports. The video footage had been taken on December 28th but later removed by the cameraman over the criticism he received for his apparent lack of action during the incident. For confidential support on matters relating to suicide call the Samaritans in the UK on 08457 90 90 90 or visit a local Samaritans branch.(metro.co.uk)Bakudaily.az
