Tiki is one hungry Labrador, but as a recent visit to the veterinarian has shown, she doesn't have the most discerning of tastes.

The head technician at Good Shepherd's Veterinary Hospital in Mars, Pennsylvania, says she has retrieved 62 hair bands, eight pairs of underwear and a bandage from the dog's stomach during exploratory surgery.

The black Lab was brought to the hospital by her owner, Sara Weiss, suffering from vomiting, diarrhea and a loss of appetite.
The pooch was not responding to medication prescribed by her doctor, and X-rays showed a strangely shaped mass in Tiki's stomach.

Last week, Dr Hisham Ibrahim opened Tiki up during a two-hour surgery and was shocked at the tangle of household items that were pulled out.

'And I found this hair band attached to another hair band to another one to another one and to other things again,' Ibrahim told the station WTAE.

Head veterinary technician Emily Cottle said the large collection of indigestible items removed from Tiki's stomach was a lot or a dog that size.

Ibrahim speculated that his four-legged patient must have wolfed down the hair bands and underwear over the course of several days.

Dog owner Sara Weiss revealed that her ravenous pooch once swallowed a plastic foam dart, but that passed through the dog's system naturally.

Tiki was back at the clinic Wednesday for a post-surgery checkup, which showed that she was well on her way to recovery.
The hungry canine has another appointment scheduled with the veterinarian Friday to make sure all is going well with he stomach.
